What is the minimum number of badges that I need to order?
Technically there is not a minimum but with set-up costs we find 30 to be a reasonable starting quantity.

Pricing
Each quote is calculated based on your design requirements. Our best price is provided for each job.
The following factors determine the pricing of your embroidered cloth badges:
- Size. The larger the size the higher the cost.
- Number of thread colours. If greater than 7 colours or if metallic threads are required they will incur an additional cost.
- The amount of embroidery. The more complex the embroidery, the greater the cost
- Quantity. The higher the quantity, the lower cost per badge. Minimum order quantity is normally 30.
- Border type. Embroidered borders with hot knife cut cost more than a standard over-locked border.
- Backing option. Iron-on heat seal backings incur an additional cost.
- Delivery. Badges can be collected from our Riverwood, NSW premises.
Alternatively, delivery charges incur an additional fee.
We offer special prices to all state and national sporting bodies and scouts and guides.
For new customers 50% of order value is payable at time of order, and balance is payable 14 days after delivery, or on terms as otherwise agreed in writing.

Free Design Advice for your Badges
Top tips for designing Embroidered Cloth Badges:
- UPPER CASE LETTERING always looks best on embroidery and ideally should be at least 6mm in height.
- Choose contrasting colours. For example if your colours are black and green, it is better to use them together on a white background rather than embroider black directly onto green.
- Choose any size or shape. Don’t restrict your thinking – almost anything is possible!

Badge Colours
A standard embroidered cloth badge can have up to seven thread colours plus the colour of your background material. Extra colours and/or metallic thread are available options at a slightly higher price.
Badge Borders and Backings
An over-locked border is the standard edge used for Stokes Badges’ embroidered cloth badges. However, unusual shapes may make an embroidered border with a hot knife edge a more attractive solution. For those less keen on sewing, an iron-on heat seal backing is also available.

How is the size determined?
The size for pricing is expressed in millimetres as half the sum of the height and the width – e.g. if the badge is 60mm high and 100mm wide the calculation would be (60+100)/2=80. Thus the size for pricing would be 80mm.
What is the production time?
Normally you should allow up to 2 to 3 weeks from the time you have signed off the final artwork and have placed a firm order. However, if you have a tighter deadline, please let your Stokes Badges account representative know and we will advise if we are able to meet your required delivery date.
